The Kantha Byredo leather goods line features one-of-a-kind pieces of art, at the crossroads of engineering and craftsmanship. A modern take on the ancestral Kantha embroidery technique, the Kantha perfume holder’s uneven and high-tech machine sewing is finished by skilled artisans in our hand-picked Italian workshop, with each stitch cut and knot by hand. The result is that each finished piece is distinctly special and genuinely unique.

The Rizon Leather Jacket and Vest are a journey narrating the equilibrium of contrast. Indian heritage meets with Italian craftsmanship, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Each piece is handcrafted from the skilled Italian artisans imbuing it with an inimitable essence.​

Slipping into the Rizon jacket offers a cocoon of comfort and style, with its contemporary relaxed fit and slightly elongated sleeves. The custom-designed brass zip-pullers, extending from the slanted chest pockets to the sleeves fastening, are not just functional but are expressions of artisanal mastery.

Crafted in soft vegetable-tanned calfskin leather, the exterior is a living canvas that evolves with you, developing a unique patina that tells your story over time. Inside, the jacket is lined with hand-quilted cotton Kantha blankets, each one a unique piece of history.

These blankets, made from old saris worn by women in India, make each piece a one-of-a-kind treasure. While the Rizon vest continues this narrative with its reversible design, offering the possibility of displaying the lining intricate patterns and vibrant colours.

Reinforcing its never-ending pursuit of creative possibilities, Byredo introduces fine jewellery as a new permanent category. The series builds from foundational archetypes – to pierce and to adorn – that decode the practice of individual ornamentation and self-expression. Uniting two central motifs into a singular expression, rounded pearl shapes interlock with graphic bars, forming a pattern that can be repeated and extended ad infinitum.

A material output that embodies Ben Gorham’s aim to translate emotions deeply rooted in the personal, the debut collection draws upon a part of his heritage, named for the Hindi word ‘Virasaat’ meaning ‘inheritance’. Made to endure, it signifies the value inherent in these totemic objects, passed down from older generations to the next like a birthright.

The collection takes a craft-orientated approach to the discipline, made in Italy using precious metals such as silver and gold. The series of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings appear fluid, as if shaped by ebbs and flows of water and time, ready to take on the unique imprint of the wearer.

For the third chapter of the 2023 Bal d’Afrique retrospective, Byredo turns to the world of surfing. Comprising a series of images featuring South African professional surfer, Mikey February, alongside a limited-edition swimsuit and T-shirt – designed in collaboration with Stockholm Surfboard Club and Joseph Awuah-Darko– the evocative story is a celebration of African surf culture and its joyful community.

All proceeds from the collaborative collection will benefit Juju Surf – a non-profit organisation with the goal of “uplifting and supporting surf communities in Africa”.

Instantly recognisable by its woven stencil graphic language, the Alphabeta Blanket celebrates craftsmanship while adding a cosy touch to the home. Crafted from the finest merino wool and cashmere thread, the thick weave creates a soft feel with stitched edges, while soft and carefully chosen fibres allow the blanket to be both thrown and used on the bed or sofa.​

Made from the finest merino wool and cashmere thread, the thick weave creates a soft feel with stitched edges. The highest comfort, thanks to the soft and carefully chosen fibers, allows the blanket to be thrown and used on the bed or sofa.

In 2022, we reimagined our signature woven Alphabeta stencil as a limited-edition cushion, for the first time.
Two years later, in 2024, the Alphabeta Cushion returns as a permanent collection in a selection of neutral colours – Salt & Pepper, Dune, and Charbon – matching our existing range of blankets.
Each decorative cushion features a removable cover made from the finest merino wool and cashmere thread in a thick weave that creates a soft feel, with a hypoallergenic polyester filling, and is finished with tonal stitching.
